Getting Started
What is AirTook and how does it work?

AirTook is a Nigerian telehealth platform that connects you with licensed doctors for virtual consultations. You can get medical advice, prescriptions, and follow-up care — all from your phone.

How it works:

  • Sign up and complete your health profile
  • Top up your AirTook wallet
  • Book a consultation — Priority (immediate) or Scheduled (pick a time)
  • Connect with your doctor via video or chat
  • Receive your prescription, notes, and follow-up care plan
What is Aira?

Aira is your AI-powered health companion on AirTook. Aira can:

  • Listen to your symptoms and help you understand them
  • Help you decide whether you need to see a doctor
  • Answer general health and medication questions
  • Send you proactive morning check-ins after consultations
  • Help you book and manage appointments

Aira is not a replacement for a licensed doctor. For diagnosis and treatment, always consult a real doctor through AirTook.

Wallet & Billing
How does the AirTook wallet work?

Your AirTook wallet is a pre-paid balance used to pay for consultations. You top it up using Paystack (card, bank transfer, or USSD), and the consultation fee is deducted when you confirm a booking.

Consultation fees vary by duration:

  • 15 min — most affordable
  • 30 min — most popular
  • 45 min — extended session
  • 60 min — full session

Priority (immediate) consultations are priced higher than Scheduled consultations. You can view your full transaction history in the Wallet section of the app.

Bookings
How do I book a consultation?

Tell Aira what's wrong — she will suggest booking a doctor. You can also tap the + button at the bottom of the chat screen, then choose "Book Doctor".

Choose between:

  • ⚡ Priority — connects you immediately with an available doctor
  • 📅 Scheduled — pick a date and time that works for you

Select your session duration, confirm payment from your wallet, and you're booked.

How do I reschedule or cancel a consultation?

Go to your Appointments section in the app. Tap on the appointment you want to change.

  • Reschedule — choose a new date and time
  • Cancel — the consultation fee is refunded to your AirTook wallet within minutes

Cancellations after the doctor has joined the session may not be eligible for a full refund.

Family Health Hub
How does the Family Health Hub work?

Family Health Hub lets you manage health for your whole household from one account. You can:

  • Add family members (children, parents, spouse) via their email address
  • Book consultations on their behalf
  • View their health history and upcoming appointments
  • Pay from your wallet or theirs

To add a family member, tap the family icon at the top of the chat screen. Each member must have (or create) their own AirTook account.

Privacy & Security
How is my health data kept private?

AirTook takes your privacy seriously. All health data is:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Accessible only to you and your treating doctors
  • Never sold to third parties
  • Retained for 7 years as required by Nigerian medical records regulation

We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and MDCN guidelines. You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time via the Privacy section of your profile or by emailing privacy@airtook.com.
